This 1966 Plymouth Valiant Convertible is a sharp, well-preserved example of Chrysler’s compact offering from the golden era of Detroit design. Finished in a bright, eye-catching red with a new black power convertible top, this car presents beautifully and carries the clean, squared-off styling of the final year of the second-generation Valiants. The body is straight and solid, with good panel fit and brightwork that remains polished and complete, from the grille and bumpers to the distinctive Valiant badging. Under the hood is the optional 273ci V8 engine, a lightweight and responsive LA-series small-block introduced in the mid-’60s. This motor adds real pep to the Valiant’s lightweight A-body chassis and is paired with Chrysler’s dependable 3-speed TorqueFlite automatic transmission.
